Fostering Equitable and Inclusive Neighborhoods
Thank you to all who attended and participated in the Fostering Equitable and Inclusive Neighborhoods event last week! This event discussed how many Columbia families live in insecure housing or neighborhoods that negatively shape their health and other life outcomes. These issues are often poorly understood and difficult to address with meaningful impact. This event provided both academic and practical insights on building public will to address these complex social problems.
The Housing Programs Division had approximately 182 attendees for Dr. Manuel’s talk and will be posting the results of the breakout sessions very soon!
Commissioners unanimously approve new affordable “Cullimore Cottages” neighborhood
We are one step closer to the building of the Cullimore Cottages! Last night the Planning and Zoning Commission unanimously voted to recommend the approval of the rezoning pre-development plan for the Cullimore Cottages on N. 8th Street. We are so grateful for the neighborhood and City support for this future development! Below is the link to the Missourian Article discussing the events of the meeting.
